![]() I really hope I don't hear "That's a Microsoft problem" from Commercial Type and "Contact Commercial Type, it's their problem"įrom Microsoft. I'm going to contact Commerical Type to see if they know why it's happening. When working with a word document, other than changing the paragraph and line spacing, you also can change the spacing between letters and words. Since I use Guardian every day, this is a problem for me. Note: If a shortcut requires two or more keys at the same time, the keys are separated by a plus sign (+). I'm not super-excited about doing this for every document going forward. I found that with Guardian 11 pt, I have to use EXACTLY 16 point spacing in order to get what Microsoft Word 2013 displays as single spaced (at least for the document I described above). ![]() Obviously it's also a problem with letterhead, etc. ![]() ![]() When users with Word 2013 open it, they see 31 lines on the screen, So on my screen in Word 2016, it shows 37 lines for a specific document, then prints out with 31 lines (single spaced, 12 pt after, about 9-11 very short one or two sentence paragraphs). But 2 fonts that I purchased from Commercial Type (Guardian Egyptian Text and Lyons) both have Line spacing is definitely the culprit, but it is not all 3rd party fonts-I have some that work exactly fine (e.g., Triplicate T4 designed by Matthew Butterick).
